Needing Prayers
So many emotions are running through me. Last week, I took the expanded AFP test. I found out yesterday that it came back positive for being high risk for down syndrome. I am calling on all my family and friend to please pray for me and the baby at this time. Next Tuesday, I am going to see a specialists, who will give me genetic counseling, a specialized ultrasound to look for certain traits of down syndrome, and then an amniocentesis. I am more scared about a needle going through my stomach than anything, and just pray for the strength to get through this! It will take two weeks for the results to come in, and I know in the long run I will be able to find the necessary strength to deal with the results.

Oh Jen! My heart goes out to you. So much scary stuff to think about, but if there is one person who can take something like this on-it's you. You always amaze me with your optimistic attitude at dealing with whatever comes your way!
I'm sending TONS of positive thoughts your way and lots of prayers too!

Jen, I always say that Heavenly Father knows you can handle what he sends your way. I'm sure that's easier to say than hear but I know you are a strong person and the reason why we are here is to endure through it ALL. You and your growing family are in our thoughts and MANY PRAYERS!!!!

Glad I got to talk to you for a few minutes yesterday... hope you were able to get a blessing. you know something I was thinking yesterday Jen, if the baby has DS, it will be a blessing for your family to have her special spirit apart of your family. you are such a fantastic mother Jen!!! Heavenly father knows you and knows what you can handle and what you need. regardless of the test results... Your life will be blessed incredibly with this baby!!!
