Ethan and Gavin both played baseball for the NOR Recreation Department this year. Since they are in different divisions, we ended up practicing or playing games Monday thru Thursday for nine weeks!
Ethan was in machine pitch again this year. He is a good hitter and his coach asked him after the second game if he planned on hitting like he was all year long! He was the one of the most consistent hitters on his team.
He usually played center field or third base.
I really enjoyed seeing his competitive side come out a bit!
Often times his coach would give him some advice, but it was usually me or Grandma on the sidelines before every at bat to give him instruction!
Even though his team was not as good as last year, I still saw Ethan improve.
Wyatt was always extremely wild during the games, and he even ran onto the field and played dead during one of Ethan's games. I got a clapping ovation from the crowd when they had to stop the game so I could carry him off the field!!
Reagen was always just cute!
Gavin was in coach pitch this year.
He too is an aggressive player and always hustles!
He got to play just about every position, but really enjoyed playing catcher the best.
It was really hot during some of the games and I give the boys a lot of credit for sticking through it during a Bakersfield summer!
